Betrayed and Neglected

You deserve to live, even if you're not a human,
For the world wasn't just made for us.
Yet here you stand, abandoned souls, your presence fading,
Once held close, now forsaken, destiny's grip takes hold.

Cattle left behind, on dusty paths they linger,
Once companions of labor, now victims of neglect's grip.
No refuge from the sun's scalding glare, no sanctuary from rain's tears,
In this barren landscape, where lives start to wane.

Eyes that once radiated trust, now clouded with sadness,
A testament to loyalty, friendship's once bright flame.
Hooves that trod confidently, now faltering on uncertain ground,
On a journey laden with dangers, where accidents await.

Once thriving crops, now bowed under the weight of your plight,
Amidst the remains of what flourished, now shadowed by neglect.
Owners turn away, hearts cloaked in darkness,
Your value diminished, your purpose discarded.

Was loyalty so facilely relinquished,
By those whose hands you once nourished in grace?
Left to wither, abandoned, hearts aguishly maligned,
Tangled in neglect's embrace.

Untold narratives stain the roads upon which you tread,
Of lives languishing, promises vacuous as air.
Yet you noble souls, merit beyond mere thread,
Deserve to gleam anew, amidst sorrow's wear and tear.

For the world's authentic beauty thrives in its diversity,
In every living soul, whether human or creature's form.
With empathy as our compass, compassion as certainty,
We elevate lives forsaken, nurturing through neglect's storm.
